  • Measure, Cut and Fit Drywall Sheets for Installation on Walls and Sailings;
  • Position and Secure Sheets to Metal or Wooden Studs or Joists;
  • Fabricate and Install Suspended Metal Ceiling Grids and Place in Panels to Form Acoustical and Coffered Ceilings.
 
Eligibility :::::
 

  • Secondary Education and 3 or 4 year Apprenticeship Program in Dry Walling or Combination of over 3 years of Work Experience and Some High School, College or Industry Courses in Dry Walling is Usually Required.
 
Experience requirements :::::

  • Minimum 5 years.

English Language Requirements :::::

  • Vocational

Additional Requirements :::::
  • Must have a Journeyman's Certificate (or Equivalent) with a min. of 5 years Experience in the Trade;
  • Must be Physically Fit and Able to Stand for Most of The Shift;
  • Must Get Along Well with Co-workers;
  • The Ability to Work Independently Would Be a Benefit Asset.

  • Assist the Drywall Installer to Perform His / Her Duties Which Include:
  • Measure, Cut and Fit Drywall Sheets for Installations on Walls and Ceilings;
  • Position and Secure Sheets to Metal or Wooden Studs or Joists;
  • Fabricate and Install Suspended Metal Ceiling Grids and Place in Panels to Form Acoustical and Coffered Ceilings;
  • Perform Other Laboring activities as directed by the Drywall Installer.

  • No Formal Education
 
Experience requirements :::::

  • Minimum 3 years.

English Language Requirements :::::

  • Must have Minimal English Skills to Communicate with Co-workers


Additional Requirements :::::
      • Must be Physically Fit and Able to Lift Up to 50 Lbs or More on Occasion;
      • Must get Along Well with Co-workers;
      • The Ability to Work Independently would be a Definite Asset

Note :::::

  • This is an Unskilled Position. The Maximum Term of Employment is 24 Months. After 24 Months, The Worker Must Leave Canada for at Least 4 Months before He can come back. The Option of Applying for a New Work Permit will depend on The Employer.
