  • Prepare Wall and Ceiling Layouts;

  • Install Metal Stud Framing and Furring for Interior Drywall or Plaster Walls and Ceilings Using Hand and Power Tools;
  • Attach Metal or Gypsum Lath to Studs or Furring Using Nails, Screws, Clips or Wire Ties;
  • Cut Openings in Lath for Heating and Ventilation Piping, Ducts and Electrical Outlets;
  • Install Corner Beads and Wire Mesh Around Beams to Which Plaster is to be Applied;
  • Apply Paper, Wire, Mesh, Metal Accessories Such as Corner Bead, Expansion Bead, Flashing, Strapping, Bug Screen and Blue Skin to Exterior Walls;
  • Apply Stucco to Exterior Walls

  • High Secondary School

 
Experience requirements :::::
  • Minimum 4 Years Experience is required.

English Language Requirements :::::
  • Basic English to Communicate With Co-Workers and Supervisors.
  • We will provide training and orientation in Any Language
  • The Worker is Comfortable With and will Provide Interpreter for The First Weeks After Arrival.

Additional Requirements :::::
  • Must be Physically Fit and Able to Stand for Most of The Shift;
  • Must Get Along Well With Co-workers;
  • The Ability to Work Independently Would be a Definite Asset.

  • Assist the Lather/Interior Systems Mechanics to Perform His / Her Duties Which Include: Prepare Wall and Ceiling Layouts;
  • Install Metal Stud Framing and Furring for Interior Drywall or Plaster Walls and Ceilings Using Hand and Power Tools;
  • Attach Metal or Gypsum Lath for Heating and Ventilation Piping, Ducts and Electrical Outlets;
  • Install Corner Beads and Wire Mesh Around Beams to Which Plaster in to be Applied;
  • May Install Acoustic Tile, Hanagers for Suspended Ceilings and Metal Studs for Composition Wallboard or Lath;
  • Perform Other Laboring Activities as Directed by the Lather/ISM.

  • Minimum 3 Years Experience is required.

Note :::::

  • This is an Unskilled Position. The Maximum Term of Employment is 24 Months. After 24 Months, The Worker must Leave Canada for at Least 4 Months before He can Come Back. The Option of Applying for a New Work Permit will Depend on the Employer.
