What is the French Tech Visa?

The French Tech Visa is a simplified, fast-track procedure for international tech talent to obtain a "Passeport Talent" residence permit. It's designed specifically for founders, employees, and investors in the tech sector.

The visa is valid for up to 4 years and includes automatic work authorization for both you and your spouse. No separate work permit required, no labor market test, and fast-track processing through dedicated counters.

Founders

International startup founders selected by a partner incubator or accelerator such as Station F, NUMA, or other approved programs. Build your startup in the heart of Europe's tech capital.

Employees

Tech talents hired by a French company recognized as innovative - including Young Innovative Enterprises (JEI), FT120 companies, or other qualifying organizations.

Investors

Business angels and venture capitalists investing in French startups. Minimum investment of €300,000 with at least 10% ownership in a French company.

Eligibility

Requirements by Category

For Employees

Hold a Master's degree OR have at least 5 years of professional experience
Have a work contract valid for at least 3 months with a French eligible company
Gross annual salary of at least 2x French minimum wage (~€42,000+)
Company must be recognized as innovative (JEI, FT120, etc.)

For Founders

Financial resources equal to the French minimum wage
An economically innovative project
Selection by a partner incubator (Station F, NUMA, etc.)
Clear business plan and growth potential

For Investors

Direct investment of at least €300,000
Minimum 10% ownership in a French company
Investment must create or maintain jobs
Proof of financial resources and investment plans

General Documents

Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
Proof of accommodation in France
Comprehensive health insurance
Clean criminal record from home country
