What you need to qualify for the General Employment Permit.
Genuine job offer from an Irish employer for minimum 2 years. Employer must be registered with Revenue and trading in Ireland.
€34,000 per year for most occupations. €30,000 for certain qualifying occupations and students transitioning from graduate permit.
Employer must advertise the role for 28 days (EURES + national newspaper + FÁS/Jobs Ireland) to prove no suitable EU/EEA candidate available.
Relevant qualifications or experience for the role. Degree not always required if you have equivalent work experience.
Occupation must not be on the Ineligible Categories of Employment list (includes general laborers, retail assistants, etc.).
