The EntrePass is Singapore's entrepreneur visa designed for foreign entrepreneurs, innovators, and investors who want to start and operate a business in Singapore. Unlike the Employment Pass, the EntrePass doesn't require a predefined salary - instead it focuses on your business potential and innovation credentials.
- Target Audience: Entrepreneurs, startup founders, innovators, and investors
- Business Type: Must be registered as a Private Limited Company with ACRA
- Innovation Focus: Business must be venture-backed or possess innovative technology
- No Salary Requirement: Unlike EP, no minimum salary needed initially
- Validity: 1 year initially, renewable for 2 years based on business milestones
- Family: Can bring spouse and children after meeting business spending thresholds
Eligibility Pathways
You must meet at least ONE of the following criteria to qualify for EntrePass. These ensure your business brings value to Singapore's economy.
Venture Capital Backed
Have funding commitment from a government-recognized VC or accredited business angel investor in Singapore.
Intellectual Property
Own significant intellectual property (patents, copyrights) registered with recognized IP authorities.
Research Collaboration
Have ongoing research collaboration with Singapore universities (NUS, NTU, SMU) or research institutes (A*STAR).
Incubator Program
Be an incubatee at a government-supported incubator or accelerator program in Singapore.

Renewal Requirements
EntrePass renewal is based on achieving business milestones. You must meet spending and hiring targets to renew your pass.
Business spending includes operational costs, salaries, equipment, and office rental. Local employees must be Singapore Citizens or PRs.
Family & Dependant Options
EntrePass holders can bring family members after meeting certain business milestones.
Spouse (Dependant Pass)
- Legally married spouse can join
- Spouse can apply for LOC to work
- Must meet business milestones first
- Renewable with main pass
Children (Dependant Pass)
- Unmarried children under 21
- Can study in Singapore schools
- Same milestone requirements
- Valid until age 21 or pass expiry
Parents (LTVP)
- Long Term Visit Pass for parents
- Higher milestone threshold
- Cannot work in Singapore
- Subject to ICA approval
Additional Entrepreneur
- Co-founders can apply separately
- Each must meet EntrePass criteria
- Company can sponsor multiple EPs
- All contribute to milestones
Application Process
Business Plan & Documentation
Prepare comprehensive business plan demonstrating innovation, market potential, and job creation.
Register Company with ACRA
Incorporate a Private Limited Company in Singapore (can be done remotely).
Submit EntrePass Application
Apply through MOM's EP Online portal with business plan and supporting documents.
Interview & Assessment
May be invited for interview to discuss business model and growth plans.
IPA & Arrival
Receive In-Principle Approval, travel to Singapore, and collect your EntrePass.
