Program Status: Active & Accepting Applications

The RCIP launched in 2024 and continues to accept applications as the successor to RNIP. Communities are actively accepting applications from skilled workers.

Program Overview

The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) is a federal permanent residence pathway launched in 2024 as a successor to the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). It is designed to help smaller communities across Canada attract and retain skilled foreign workers to meet local economic development needs and fill labour shortages.
